How to make lovely Apple Butter!
APPLE BUTTER
Delicious on toast, a dollop on warm oats, enjoy them on pancakes, even vanilla ice cream or apple pie.
We use a medley of different varieties of apples. Which creates full bodied fruity flavour packed jars of apple butter.
What you do:
- Fill large pot with chopped, pealed & cored apples - 18 apples make about 3lb.
- 1/2 cup Cider Vinegar
- 1 cup Water
- Pinch of salt.
Once the apples are soft & mushy we blend them to pulp in the pot.
Then add:
-1 cup packed Brown Sugar
-Vanilla extract
-Tbsp. Pumpkin Spice
Cook until reduced & thickened.
Can in sterilized jars & water bath for 10 min.
